Jonathan Alihosseini, DMD

Dr. Jonathan Alihosseini—known to most patients and staff simply as Dr. J—joined The Toothboss team in January 2025. He brings with him a warm personality, a strong clinical background, and an eye for detail that has made him a favorite among patients in the Weymouth area.

A graduate of Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, Jonathan earned his DMD Magna Cum Laude. His journey into dentistry started early. At the age of 12, he experienced firsthand how dentistry could transform a smile—and with it, a person’s confidence. That moment stuck with him and sparked a lifelong passion for the field.

“I had 10 fillings before I was 18. My dental care was so expensive my parents used to take me to Children’s Dental in Medford for treatment,” recalled Jonathan. “Besides receiving great care from my dentists, I noticed that everybody there was always smiling and happy. I decided then and there that’s the profession I want to be a part of.”

Before joining The Toothboss, Dr. J spent time as an associate with the late Dr. Roy Colella, eventually taking over the practice shortly after graduating dental school. That experience, combined with his skill in restorative dentistry and his collaborative approach to patient care made him a natural fit for our practice.

“Dr. Wolfert and I are very like-minded. We’re both committed to creating an environment that’s welcoming and family friendly, and making sure that the patients are, to the best of our ability, taken care of.”

Outside the office, Dr. J is a true Renaissance man. His hobbies include nutrition and fitness, the study of health sciences, Formula 1 racing, and playing both drums and guitar. If he’s not at the office, there’s a good chance he’s either in the gym, behind a drum kit or keeping tabs on the latest Grand Prix.
