For nearly 30 years, Dr. Herb Nachtrab has brought smiles to the faces of teenagers and adults alike. That’s one of the perks of being an orthodontist. For all the smiles he’s brought to patients in the greater South Weymouth area, Dr. Nachtrab has been named the recipient of The Smiling Neighbor award given by South Weymouth Dentist Dr. Richard Wolfert, DMD.
“As a dental practice, we make a recommendation for braces to many patients, young and older. It’s always a great comfort to refer patients to Herb because I know the level of care they will receive. Typically, our patients come raving about Dr. Nachtrab,” said Dr. Wolfert, AKA “The Toothboss”, whose practice is located at 1121 Main Street. “For his great work over three decades and his efforts in supporting youth sports over the years, I’m honored to name Herb as our Smiling Neighbor for this quarter.”
Dr. Nachtrab opened his practice, also located at 1121 Main Street in South Weymouth, in 1986. Throughout the years, he has figuratively and literally straightened the teeth of thousands of teenagers and adults.
“One of the great benefits of being an orthodontist is the relationship you develop with a patient. You’re part of the process where they go from being somebody who may never smile because of their teeth to somebody who can’t stop smiling, also because of their teeth,” said Dr. Nachtrab. “I’m very grateful to my friend and colleague Dr. Rick Wolfert for bestowing upon me the Smiling Neighbor award.”
Dr. Nachtrab lives in South Weymouth with his wife Jeannine. The couple has two adult children, Herb and Karin.
For being selected as the Smiling Neighbor, Dr. Nachtrab the choice of receiving a $50 gift card to Stockholders or a Sonicare Easy Clean model (he chose Stockholders).
The Smiling Neighbor award is given out on a quarterly basis to citizens of Weymouth going above and beyond the call of duty for their fellow citizens.
